License management requirements and steps

Setting up your classes will empower you to streamline license management and entitle students across Amplify programs.

Step-by-step: Getting started with license management

1.Prepare your program licenses:

Identify programs requiring action.

If you have these programs, you’ll need to assign them by class and complete a few additional steps: 

  • Amplify CKLA 2nd or 3rd Edition 
  • Amplify Caminos
  • Amplify ELA
  • Amplify Science
  • Boost Close Reading 6–8

If you only have these programs, then no action is needed as all rostered in your organization will have access:

  • mCLASS
  • Amplify Desmos Math
  • Boost Reading K–5

2. Quick start video:

Watch our 3-minute step-by-step video to learn how to add programs to classes using the Amplify Admin Portal. This includes sharing roster data through your roster source by:

  • Sharing Staff List: Include teachers, admins, and any additional support staff who need access to Amplify programs.
  • Sharing Class List: Include names and grade levels for the classes/sections. Final student rosters are not required to begin adding programs to classes.

3. Sharing your roster data: 

Through Clever or Classlink

Share data through these sources, as usual. Visit our Help Center for assistance:

Through Admin Portal

  • Email invitations: Send invites for staff to self-enroll.
  • CSV for Batch Upload: Ideal for districts with over 100 students. Export data from your Student Information System to enroll multiple users at a once.
  • Manual entry: Best for fewer than 100 students. Add users individually. 

Review your data within your selected rostering source for accuracy before proceeding.

4. Automated license management for returning customers: 

After uploading your data, Amplify’s system will automatically connect teachers, classes, and students with the right programs. 

Teachers assigned to rostered classes can access content immediately, even before rostering is complete. 

5. Add programs to classes: 

Use the Admin Portal to assign programs to classes. 

  • System access users and admins: Follow these instructions to manage programs.
  • Teachers: Manage your class programs with these guidelines.

6. Confirm access and explore: 

Once everything is set up, log in and start using Amplify to empower your teaching journey.
